Make your pet famous! Enter your dog, cat, bird, mouse, ferret, or any other pet into Switch Zoo online! Once your pet is part of Switch Zoo, he or she can be switched with other animals to be included in new animal combinations.
 

Every year, two million visitors come to Switch Zoo from all over the world. Your pet, along with your pet's name and a story or description will be available to all of the visitors to Switch Zoo!

Each pet that is entered into Switch Zoo is given individual attention: the photo is resized to fit and color-corrected if necessary, cut out of the background and blended with the host animal, then hand-coded to appear on the animal and scene of your choice, chosen from the nine diverse scenes at Switch Zoo.

See your pet as part of the polar bear in an arctic landscape, bison on the Great Plains, cheetah in an African savannah, dog in a pasture, elephant in a misty landscape with a rainbow, monkey in a jungle clearing, pig in a woodland, rhino in a grassy area by a lake, or zebra in a hillside scene. Your choice of scene determines the landscape, host animal, and switching animals for your pet. Click here to see a list of animals in each scene.

To see a sample pet in Switch Zoo, please enter the zoo and visit the bear scene. Scroll down to the bottom of the Quick Switch panel (on the left) and click on Chewy.

Special Grand Opening price for each pet is $19.95 for three scenes. Each additional scene is $5.00. The regular price for each pet is $29.95 for one scene, and each additional scene is $10.00.

Each entry includes:

• Your pet's head is entered into one scene of your choice. Additional scenes are optional.
• Your pet's head appears on a button in the Quick Switch panel, and his or her name is displayed at the top of the panel whenever a player positions their mouse over the button.
• Your pet's name and a description or story about your pet are displayed in the text area below the scene scene whenever your pet is chosen as part of a combination animal.
• Your pet will be part of Switch Zoo for one year (from the date of first appearance). Renewals are available at a reduced price.

How to Prepare Your Pet's Photo and Story

Your Pet's Photo
There are three basic rules to follow to make sure that your pet's photo will work in Switch Zoo. They are explained in the chart below.

Beyond the three rules that are specific to Switch Zoo, you should make sure your photo meets the basic standards of any good photo: it is in focus and your pet is clearly visible in the photo. Your pet's entire head and neck must be included in the shot.

The Story or Description of Your Pet
If you want, you can write a story about your pet or you can simply write a short description. For example, you could write about your pet's age, breed, favorite activities, favorite foods, how your pet came to live with you, or what makes your pet unique. While neither a story or description is required, it is a great way to let others know about your pet's unique personality.

Whatever you write, the length cannot exceed 175 characters including spaces, in order to fit in the available story space as shown in the picture above. You can use the Word Count function of most word processing programs to find out if you story will fit.
